Question 2 Proposal Writing. (10 marks)
Format of Proposal
Title:
The title must be center aligned.
The title should be around 5-6 words.
Heading/ Introduction
The heading should have a maximum of two sentences.
The student should introduce the topic here with just a glimpses of what or how the plan can benefit the institution.
Objectives
The objective should include at least two points.
The objectives should be written in the form of paragraph, not point wise.
The student is supposed to introduce two distinct reasons for such a proposal. It may be the benefits.
List of Measures
It must be atleast four in number.
It should be plan of action that you propose to use while setting up your club.
The words need to be formal and polite.
Conclusion
One liner statement to end your proposal. It should politely request the head of the institution to accept your offer.
Task for students
As the school leader, you have been given the responsibility of organising a school trip for the students of classes XI and XII to a place of historical importance. Write a proposal in about 150 words stating the steps you would take to successfully organise the trip.

PROPOSAL FOR SETTING UP A SCIENCE CLUB
Introduction: To foster an interest in Science outside the classroom and introduce students to the wonders and relevance of Science in our lives, we propose to set up a Science Club in school.
Objectives: A Science Club will help students overcome their phobias regarding Science. It will be instrumental in developing the scientific curiosity of students through its activities and programmes.
List of Measures:
The middle-school activity room will be used as the venue for all Science Club meetings and activities.
Meetings will take place once a week after school from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm; talks and competitions will be held on Saturdays.
Membership will be open to all students from Classes VI to XII. The Club President will be Mr Sinha, our Senior Physics Teacher; eight office bearers will be elected from among members.
Club membership has been fixed at ₹250/- per member per year.
Activities will include Science Fairs, Robot Making, poster creation, science documentaries, and inter-school quiz competitions.
Conclusion
We hope that the management will accept our proposal so we can arrange Science Club.
