  1. 1) There was social unrest in England during the Victorian age because the slaves had been freed in 1833, but in the middle of the century England awoke to the fact that slaves are not necessarily negroes,and they stolen from Africa to be sold like cattle in the market place, but that multitudes of the men, women and little children in the mines and factories were victims of a more terrible industrial and social slavery. So this kind of slavery seen in the Victorian age so, there is social unrest during this age.


    2). During the Victorian age there are rapid progress in all the arts and sciences and mechanical inventions.They invented from spinning looms to steam boats and from matches to electricity lights.


    3) The Victorian age known as age of prose because this age produced many pets and two who deserve to rank among the greatest and nevertheless.so many novel written in this age.Robert Browney and Tennyson major poets of this age. In this age there are also news paper, magazines and modern novel.

    4) Major poets of the Victorian age :-
    Tennyson , Browning , Carlyle , Ruskin , etc.
    Major novelists of the Victorian age:-
    Dickens , Thackeray , George Eliot , etc.
    Major essayist of the victorian age :-
    Macauly , Carlyle , Ruskin , etc.


    5). Important of the moral purpose in literature :-
    Tennyson , Browny , moral purpose with superb faith in their message and with the conscious moral purpose to uplift and instruct. They are trying to reflecting life as it is. They are also reflecting in the works that what life may. Writers are just swip away the errors from Hyman's life.Such as Darvin sought for science, literary that is to find the truth and to show how it might be used to uplift humanity. They are just trying to showing moral and physical diseases as they are, but holding up health and hope as the normal conditions of humanity.
